Andrew Marsh, President & Chief Executive Officer
Richardson GMP Limited

Andrew Marsh has been in the investment industry for over 20 years. Before he was appointed CEO in 2010, Mr.Marsh was Managing Director, National Sales of Richardson GMP Limited and GMP Private Client L.P. for six years. In this role, he oversaw day-to-day operations and national business development. Mr.  Marsh was also President of GMP Insurance Inc., leading operations and strategic initiatives for the estate and family wealth management services within GMP Private Client. Prior to joining GMP Private Client, Mr. Marsh enjoyed a successful career at ScotiaMcLeod as an Investment Advisor and Branch Manager. 

Mr. Marsh sits on the Board of Governors at the University of Guelph, is Chairman of the Board of personal fundraising for Right to Play Canada and is a member of Canada Company, an organization comprised of Canadian business leaders that works with the military in providing support to family members of those who serve in Canada’s armed forces. He has previously served as a member of the National Private Client Committee of the Investment Industry Association of Canada and is also a member of the Center for Fiduciary Excellence. Mr. Marsh graduated from the University of Guelph and holds a B.A. (Management Economics).

Winthrop H. Smith, Jr., Chairman of the Board, Richardson GMP Limited
President, Sugarbush Resort

Winthrop H. Smith Jr. is Chairman and CEO of Summit Ventures NE, LLC, which owns Sugarbush Resort. He also serves as President of Sugarbush.

From 1974 to 2002, Mr. Smith held various senior management positions at Merrill Lynch & Co., including Executive Vice President, Merrill Lynch & Co., Chairman, Merrill Lynch International and was a member of the Executive Management Committee. As Chairman of Merrill Lynch International, Mr. Smith led one of Merrill Lynch & Co.’s four business units with 9,000 employees, over $2B in revenues and client assets of $180B.

His current directorships include Eaton Vance Corporation, AGF Management Ltd., Richardson GMP Limited, Richardson Financial Group Limited and Summit Ventures NE, LLC (Sugarbush). Mr. Smith is also Co-Chair of the Global Advisory Committee at Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd. in Zurich, Switzerland. Mr. Smith majored in political science at Amherst College and received his MBA from Wharton University.

Mr. Sullivan brings over 25 years of experience and relationships in the capital market industry. As CEO of GMP, he oversaw the creation and growth of GMP Securities L.P., GMP Securities Europe LLP and GMP Investment Management L.P. He also helped facilitate GMP’s IPO in 2003. Prior to GMP, he spent three years in the European capital market and was also a lawyer in general practice in Calgary, Alberta.

Actively involved with a number of charities and community organizations, Mr.Sullivan has co-chaired The Ride to Conquer Cancer, Canada’s premier cycling fundraiser. He’s a past member of The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, and a member of the Canadian Advisory Board of Right to Play.

H. Sanford Riley, President & Chief Executive Officer,
Richardson Financial Group Limited

H. Sanford Riley has held the position of President and CEO of Richardson Financial Group Limited (the financial services affiliate of James Richardson & Sons, Limited) since 2003. 

Before joining Richardson Financial Group, Mr. Riley was President and CEO of Investors Group Inc., a position he held for nearly 10 years. He was appointed Chairman in 2001. Mr. Riley is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University of Winnipeg Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the North West Company Fund. He serves as a Director of Molson Coors Brewing Company, the Canada West Foundation, the Canadian Western Bank Group and the Winnipeg Airports Authority.

Mr. Riley has also been involved with a number of charitable organizations, including chairing The United Way of Winnipeg Annual Campaign, the Business Council of Manitoba and the 1999 Pan American Games. He was appointed as a member of the Order of Canada in 2002.

Murray Bockhold, Director, Wealth Management and Investment Advisor, Richardson GMP Limited

Mark Begg, CFA, Director, Wealth Management and Portfolio Manager, Richardson GMP Limited

Mark Begg has over 15 years of experience in the investment industry. He’s a Chartered Financial Analyst, Portfolio Manager and a graduate of Bishop’s University with a degree in Economics and Finance.

Mr. Begg began his career at BMO Nesbitt Burns, where he held a variety of head office management and production management positions. From there, he became an Investment Advisor forming The Begg Cheng Wealth Management Group. He joined Richardson Partners Financial in 2004 as a founding Investment Advisor. He supports various fundraising activities for charities in his community.
